2026 January Office Hour: The Future of Robotics and Physical AI
Hello. I am Junghan Uhm, Co-CEO of BLT & Partners (BNP).
On the evening of Monday, January 12, 2026, we held the very first BNP Office Hour of the year. This January event held a special significance for me and many of our attendees, as it was the first seminar where we invited the members of BLT & Partners’ first-ever Private Investment Union.
A Night of Networking and Passion
The seminar room at the Korea Conference Center (B1) near Gangnam Station began filling up as early as 7:00 PM. The networking session for our union members was vibrant and full of energy. Beyond simply looking for investment opportunities, the passion of our partners—who are together analyzing technological trends and contemplating the future—was enough to make us forget the cold winter weather. The BNP Office Hour is designed to be exactly this: a meeting point where the diverse expertise and know-how of members from various industries can fuel corporate growth.
Exploring the "Future of Robot and Our Life"
Starting at 8:00 PM, we welcomed the highlight of the evening, CEO Dong-geun Cha of Cha Robotics, for a company introduction and a seminar on Physical AI.
The theme for this event was "Future of Robot and Our Life." Much like the image on our poster showing a human and a robot shaking hands, it was a time to confirm that robots are moving beyond being mere industrial machines and are entering deep into the fabric of our daily lives.
In particular, the "Physical AI" concept emphasized by CEO Cha clearly demonstrated how AI—once confined to the digital world—interacts with and creates value in the physical world through robotic hardware. Listening to the vision of Cha Robotics, I felt a renewed sense of confidence in the potential and growth of this company, both as an investor and an organizer.
Building a Healthy Innovation Ecosystem
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the union members and attendees who stayed late, listened intently, and shared sharp questions alongside warm encouragement. It was a privilege to kick off 2026 with such a meaningful gathering.
