Innovative companies backed by BLT & Partners inc.
EVnESS Co., Ltd. is a power technology innovation company. The core technology developed by EVnESS, the ‘Active Balancing-based Fast Charger’, overcomes the limitations of existing fast chargers such as high-capacity power input problems, power grid burden, fire possibility, low profitability, and short device lifespan.
This solution can implement 100kW fast charging with only low-capacity supply power (3kW to 10kW) through an energy storage device (ESS) using waste batteries or new batteries (NCM, LFP, etc.). This reduces power input construction costs and standard facility burdens by approximately 70% compared to existing charging stations, and increases annual operating profits by approximately 63%.
EVnESS’s solution is attracting attention as a realistic alternative to the Korean government’s 2030 policy to expand the supply of fast chargers, and high demand is expected not only in public charging infrastructure but also in the private CPO market such as solar power plants, gas stations, and parking lots. The use of price-competitive ESS is attracting interest from private power plant operators, as it allows electricity produced by solar power plants to be stored and then sold at more expensive times.
